Ordering and Inventory
It should be noted that the best value with SK Guitars occurs when buying an inventory guitar. In addition to commissioned guitars I build to entertain my own notions of exciting wood combinations and will often use higher end wood and pickup choices for inventory guitars. It may be well worth taking a close look at them to note the price incentive compared to a commissioned custom instrument. I also try to keep several guitars in stock that are built with stock wood and pickup choices. They are my lowest priced instruments.

Inventory guitars require full payment prior to shipping.

Commissioned custom instruments require a $500, non-refundable deposit to get a spot in the building queue. Prior to applying a finish on the guitar one half of the remaining balance is required and the final half prior to shipping.

At this time custom guitars are shipped between 8-10 months after receipt of deposit.

All SK Guitars are warrantied against building or material defects for life, or for my life as a builder. I desire every customer to feel as if he or she made a wise choice purchasing their guitar and I stand behind my work.

Pricing custom guitars is difficult without first speaking to you. There are many custom choices that will result in the simple base price even though that guitar is not in inventory.

Upgrades include; exotic structural woods, Ebony or other similarly priced hardwoods for fingerboards, custom body and headstock shapes, custom inlays and position markers, decorative laminates, boutique pickups, specific tuners, and custom scale length as well as other items. After initially conferring with you I will study your requirements and then return a firm price.

Below are the guitars currently set up to play in inventory. Note that I have roughly fifty guitar bodies and necks that may be priced at or close to an inventory guitar. If you have an interest in seeing these I can get some pictures to you of the things that most interest you.
